Free at-home colorectal cancer screening

As part of a nationwide cancer prevention program, Color Health is bringing free at-home colorectal cancer screenings to your community.

If you are between the ages of 45 and 75, you may be eligible to order a free at-home screening kit.

How it works

Take 5 minutes to confirm you’re eligible for at-home colorectal cancer screening

Provide your sample at home and ship your kit back to Color, using the pre-affixed label included with your kit

Results will be sent via email and text message within 1-3 weeks

Schedule same/next day appointments with Color’s clinicians or a care advocate to discuss your results, next steps, and get help scheduling in-person follow up.

Being there for others starts with a simple choice: Get screened.

Cancer is common. 2 out of every 5 Americans will get cancer.1

Early detection can save your life. Catching cancer early can more than triple survival rates.2

Cancers in people younger than 50 are on the rise. Early onset colorectal cancer increased by more than 11% from 2010 to 2019.3

Common Questions

How much does the program cost?

At-home FIT tests and Color care team services are covered at no-cost to patients.

Any services provided by non-Color providers, like colonoscopies, will be billed through your insurance. Your care advocate will work with you to find the most cost-effective providers for these services, with most provided at no out-of-pocket cost to you.

What happens if I have an abnormal screening result?

Cancer screening tests are designed to detect early signs of cancer or conditions that may lead to cancer. An abnormal result means that the test identified something outside of the normal range. It does not necessarily mean that cancer is present. Additional follow-up is commonly needed to better understand the result.

Your care team will be available to answer any of your questions and help you receive follow-up testing to clarify your results.

What if I already have a primary care provider, or specialist I'm working with?

We are happy to make it even easier for you to work with your existing care team! For example, we can order colonoscopy so you can skip a visit to the doctor. We are also able to share test results with additional doctors at your request.

Will Color have access to my personal health data?

Your health data will be treated in strict compliance with all legal and privacy obligations and Color’s policies on privacy. Color may share your health data with certain teams and individuals as needed for follow-up care.

Can I use this program if I don’t have health insurance or I’m not a U.S. Citizen?

This program does not require health insurance and at-home tests and Color Care services will not be billed to your insurance. If you need in-person follow-up care and you do not have insurance, our care advocate team will work to identify any available resources for your care.

This program has no U.S. residency requirements to participate.
